Located in the heart of downtown Tauranga, Baycourt is the Western Bay of Plenty’s premier full service theatre and performing arts venue.

The architecturally designed venue was opened in 1983 to serve the cultural, social and commercial needs of a rapidly expanding city. It is extensively used by local, regional, national and international theatre performances and exhibitions.

Baycourt has a dedicated Box Office for ticket sales. Baycourt is a ticketing agent for Ticketek events and an outlet for TicketDirect events. Our friendly and helpful ticketing staff can assist you with tickets for up and coming events and concerts both nationwide and right here at Baycourt.

The venue is also home to a Steinway concert piano and a rare Wurlitzer Organ. Our Wurlitzer is one of just three found in New Zealand and is the only one in such high quality condition. The ‘Mighty Wurli’ rises dramatically from beneath the stage in Baycourt’s Addison Theatre and captivates and thrills an audience every time.

Baycourt is accessible to everyone. There are a number of specific allocated wheelchair spaces and hearing loops available in the Addison Theatre.

We look forward to seeing you at Baycourt - Where the Arts Come Alive!
