"A Celebration of Sea, Sky and Bush"
Come and enjoy a 5 course sit-down dinner prepared by Charles Royal with matching wines courtesy of Constellation Wines, and hosted by Moana Maniapoto.
Charles has won a N.Z Innovative Chef of the Year Award, created menus for Air New Zealand and has exported indigenous herbs offshore. Charles will be creating a 5 course meal for Muriwai Magic; each course will be carefully matched with wines courtesy of Constellation Wines.
There will be musical entertainment by Moana, Cadzow Cossar and Mihirangi:
Moana - Fresh back from performing at the Sydney Opera House and currently creating a performance piece to tour international festivals and theatres.
Cadzow Cossar - Cadzow will be preforming acoustic guitar pieces on the night and accompanying vocalists who celebrate the delights of Matariki. He is one of the best in New Zealand and the lead guitarist of Moana and the Tribe!
Mihirangi - Mihirangi tours internationally and produces a special performance by orchestrating earth-shaking vocal bass lines, intricately layered harmonies, vocal 'ska' chops and jazzy riffs.
Hekenukamai Busby will also be guest speaking at the event. Hec is a Waka Builder, Master Carver and Celestial Navigator. He will share his amazing journey from bridge building to leading a revival in the ancient tradition of celestial navigation in Polynesia.
